Should men Shave??

Lets face it, its 2011 and almost every woman does some sort of pubic grooming, but what about our men?

A reader emailed me and told me that she's been with her boyfriend for over a year and she always shaves and recently began waxing and he boyfriend has never shaved or even trimmed for her. She asked me if its common and how she could get him to groom a little more.

The sad truth is, many men don't feel the need to shave or trim their pubic areas.  Society has created this stereotype that women should be well groomed, whether that be shaved, waxed, or trimmed, at all times, and that men can be hairy beasts.  Personally, I think men should shave or at least trim their pubes.  I wouldn't expect a man to go get a "Brazilian" but at least try to clean up the bush if you expect me to be poking around down there.  There are some men out there that have taken a cue from all that porn they watch and have decided to shave and even use hair remover to go totally bare, which is awesome, but not every guy out there is that considerate.

My advice to the men out there is this, "If your woman shaves, waxes, etc, then be considerate and at least trim and consider shaving for her. No one wants to head south and choke themselves on a Brillo pad."

My advice to the women out there is even simpler, "Ask him to shave", chances are he never even thought about it, so before your blame him for not doing it, bring it to his attention.  You might be surprised at his willingness to please you in the sack, even if it means taking a razor to his... :-)
