The term
"Mile High Club" refers to two people engaging in sexual activity (sexual intercourse) at an altitude of no less than 5,280 ft (a mile high above the earth) in an airplane. As silly as this might seem, its a HUGE fetish for many people. Some people claim that the allure is the slight vibration of the aircraft, others have pilot/air host fetishes, personally I think its the thrill of possible getting caught... Semi-public sex is always a little taboo and exciting, so I attribute the hype to that.
Its most popular to "join" the Mile-High Club in an airplane lavatory, but I have heard stories of people, "doing the deed" in their seats, partial or full nudity, and in the reclining bed sections of some overnight flights.
Its often said that only pilots could be members. but over the years its become so popular that there is a growing industry that helps people fulfill this fantasy.
Some companies have specially outfitted private jets, with beds etc, that couples can rent, for a hefty price, to fly into their fantasies for about an hour...which is usually enough to satisfy the thrill. There is even a website with tips and stories, submitted from other "club-members".
